The category, sponsored by Strategic Mentors, also included nominations of a business communications company and a renewable energy system provider.

David Cameron visits LPRS
It has been a year of dramatic change at LPRS, the UK based supplier of short range radio devices and sensors, from the launch of the company’s third generation of successful easyRadio modules to a complete review of the company’s cost base from manufacturing to marketing. This on-going success has been noted and drew the attention of local MP and Prime Minister, David Cameron, who paid the company’s offices in Witney, Oxfordshire, a visit at the end of last month.

LPRS announces two key appointments to support continued sales growth

IQRF Wireless Network Systems
LPRS, Europe’s leading supplier of short-range radio devices, has been appointed as the UK technical distributor for the IQRF complete IQMESH wireless network platform, components and systems manufactured by MICRORISC. Based in the Czech Republic MICRORISC have spent some 100 man-years developing the extensive IQRF product range intended for applications such as smart metering, home and building automation, intelligent street lighting and environmental monitoring. The IQRF project has been co-funded by a grant from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Czech Republic.

As Ofcom announces its auction plans for the wireless spectrum designated for 4G services such as high speed mobile broadband access, LPRS, Europe’s leading supplier of short-range radio devices, announces the introduction of the ARW-2400-2700-10 directional antenna for WiMax and WiFi applications.
